Advanced Treatment Options for Severe Depression
If you are struggling with severe or persistent depression, you are not alone. At Frame of Mind Clinic Psychiatry, we provide compassionate, evidence-based care with advanced treatment options designed to help patients find relief and improve their quality of life.
Our team works closely with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses both emotional and biological aspects of depression. For patients who have not experienced sufficient improvement with traditional antidepressants, we offer SPRAVATO® (esketamine) treatment as part of a comprehensive psychiatric care approach.

SPRAVATO® treatment is provided alongside ongoing medication management, psychiatric evaluation, and supportive care to help patients move toward greater stability and wellness.
Spravato® Treatment for Treatment-Resistant Depression
SPRAVATO® is an FDA-approved prescription nasal spray used to treat certain adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD). It may also be used in adults with major depressive disorder experiencing acute suicidal thoughts or behaviors, when prescribed alongside an oral antidepressant.

SPRAVATO® contains esketamine, a medication that works differently from traditional antidepressants and may help improve depressive symptoms in patients who have not responded adequately to other treatments.
Because SPRAVATO® requires careful monitoring for safety, it is only administered in REMS-certified healthcare settings.
Frame of Mind Clinic Psychiatry is certified under the SPRAVATO® REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) program, allowing our providers to safely administer treatment in our clinic while monitoring patients throughout the observation period.
During treatment visits, patients receive the medication in a comfortable clinical environment and remain under supervision for a period of observation to ensure safety and stability before leaving the clinic.
Benefits of SPRAVATO® Treatment
SPRAVATO® treatment may provide several benefits for appropriate patients, including:
• FDA-approved treatment option for treatment-resistant depression
• Works through a different mechanism than traditional antidepressants
• Administered in a safe, medically supervised clinical setting
• May help improve depressive symptoms when other treatments have not been effective
• Allows patients to focus on therapy, daily functioning, and overall wellness
• Supports long-term improvement when combined with psychiatric care and counseling
Our providers carefully monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to support the best possible outcomes for each patient.
What to Expect During SPRAVATO® Treatment
SPRAVATO® treatment is performed in-clinic under medical supervision as required by the SPRAVATO® REMS program.
A typical treatment visit includes:
- Pre-treatment evaluation to confirm readiness for the session
- Self-administration of the SPRAVATO® nasal spray under clinical supervision
- Medical monitoring during the observation period to ensure safety and comfort
- Follow-up evaluation before discharge from the clinic
Patients typically remain in the clinic for approximately two hours during each treatment visit so our team can monitor blood pressure, side effects, and overall response. For safety reasons, patients must arrange transportation home after each treatment session, as driving is not permitted until the following day after a full night of sleep.
Recovery and Relief Are Possible
Living with treatment-resistant depression can feel overwhelming, but new treatment options are available. At Frame of Mind Clinic Psychiatry, our goal is to provide compassionate care and evidence-based treatments that help patients regain stability, hope, and improved quality of life.
If traditional medications have not provided enough relief, SPRAVATO® treatment may be an option worth exploring.
Our team is here to support you every step of the way.
